From the Director’s Chair

The summer of 2011 is in the books!  What a great year!  This summer Mission Serve projects involved 2,937 participants that worked on 265 work sites including construction, ministry, and singing venues.  This group worked on 210 homes for low-income families.  This equals over $1.3 million worth of free labor for people that live in sub-standard housing.

Mission Serve’s vision statement is “to impact people to serve as God’s presence in the world.”  This summer we witnessed Mission Serve missionaries become God’s hands and feet as they worked, ministered, and sang for the glory of the Lord.  Yes! Mission Serve participants served in 14 different states and God’s presence was felt.

In order to impact people to serve as God’s presence good coordination must occur.  We could not have done all that we did this summer without the help of great Project, Construction, and Local Coordinators, or wonderful speakers and Praise Bands, In addition we had supervisors and construction captains that led us faithfully, and summer staff both paid and volunteer that provided essential leadership for us.  Thank-you. Thank-you. Thank-you.

Mission Serve also has folks that are encouraging us along the way with your prayers, words, and money.  I appreciate all of you that make that extra effort on our behalf.  We thank you dearly.  We need these partners in ministry to walk with us, to pray with us, to give of their time, talents, gifts, and money to help this ministry stay strong.   Are you willing to be a partner in ministry with Mission Serve?  Your contribution will assist the next generation of Christians to understand the spirit of missions giving, to understand what it means to be God’s presence in the world.
